Roberto’s began in 1964, as a family-operated business. It is still family run today with 65 locations throughout California and Nevada.
Roberto and his wife Dolores began by supplying tortillas to stores and restaurants. They opened their own tortilla factory in San Ysidro, California, the summer of 1964. Soon after, the couple expanded and opened a traditional taco shop in San Diego.
