In order for the anti-American liberals to be successful in their quest to take away our freedoms and turn this great nation into another socialist regime they must first eliminate citizens’ knowledge of the Constitution. For the most part our public schools do not really teach the Constitution; they touch on it a bit, however anyone who has watched Jay Leno’s “Jaywalking,” or Jesse Watters “Watters World” can attest to the fact even our college students have no clue what the Constitution consists of.
Senate Bill 20 is another step in preventing American’s from knowing the Constitution. It will eliminate the necessity of our public school teachers to have any knowledge of America’s or Nevada’s Constitution. The bill says:
AN ACT relating to educational personnel; removing the requirement that examinations for the initial licensing of teachers and other educational personnel include the laws of Nevada relating to schools, the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Nevada; repealing provisions requiring teachers and other educational personnel to show knowledge of the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Nevada; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
The bill is being taken up for the first time July 7, 2017 by the Nevada Senate Education Committee. It was prefilled on Nov. 16, 2016 on behalf of the Clark County Public Schools district, the same school district that has been dealing with a chronic severe teacher shortage. Under the bill, teachers would be tested on their ability “to teach” and knowledge of the subject area in which they want to teach.
This last part I totally agree with, teachers should only be tested on the knowledge of the subject area in which they are to teach; after all the TRUE definition of a good teacher is how well they KNOW their subject matter. Although it is the responsibility of EVERY citizen to know and understand the Constitution of the United States, how else can our nation survive?
A perfect example of this would be America’s immigration dilemma. How can half of our citizens genuinely be livid at those who believe illegals should not be allowed to remain? Because they do not know or understand our Constitution. If one knows the Constitution and understands the purpose of it, they know our Founding Fathers were pro immigration; yet there were rules and guidelines.
First, the immigrants needed to go through a five year process and most importantly they needed to assimilate to America’s way of life. In other words leave your customs at home and adapt to America, yes, America First. Does not mean you cannot have your culture, as long as it does not supersede America’s culture. After all you were leaving your country to come here for a reason
I understand the teacher shortage quandary; however encouraging our educators to be ignorant of America’s foundation and why we came to be is only the answer for those who wish to see America crumble. Those anti-American liberals would love to see the educators or our youth have no knowledge of the creation of this great nation.
If you truly have the desire to see more individuals aspire to be teachers and ratify the teacher shortage, resolve the dire working conditions in the classroom. If a student is disruptive, do not reprimand the teacher for removing them from the classroom. When a student fails, stop blaming the teacher. Put an end to myth that our education system is failing because we need better teachers. Stop placing all of the accountability on the teachers and lay it where it belongs: The parents and students. When this takes place, you will no longer observe a teacher shortage.
A wise man once said, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink.” A wiser man once said, “You can place a child in a classroom, but you can’t make them learn.”
